Summary:
Routine inspection completed.
The transmitter continues to perform despite its age and the considerable amount of time it has spent in continuous service. Frequency stability remains excellent, the antenna system is secure, and the upgraded grounding arrangement continues to perform as expected.
A familiar layer of static remains in the signal, accompanied by an occasional low-level hum. Neither condition appears to be affecting normal programming. Attempts to completely eliminate these characteristics are not recommended at this time.
The unit has developed an “established personality.” Further adjustment may improve the numbers on a meter while doing very little for the signal itself.
Range remains dependent on location, local noise, receiver quality, and atmospheric conditions. Reports from distant listeners continue to be considered separate from the transmitter's verified local coverage.
No evidence of imminent failure.
No unexplained frequency drift.
No reason to shut it down.
Status: OPERATIONAL – CONTINUE MONITORING
